Sara Bernat is remembered as Nacho Vidal’s first girlfriend, but she was a star who shone with her own light

 

A memory that came to mind by chance. It’s not that I didn’t remember Sara Bernat, but she came back to mind after watching the Spanish TV series about Nacho Vidal that came out in late 2022. We had never seen it, even though it’s not a new series, because we’ve basically never managed to find a TV drama that truly does justice to the world of porn, which is generally portrayed in two ways: either too raw, almost sadistic, or the exact opposite—a sort of fairy-tale realm. In reality, it’s somewhere in between, a world that rarely finds a coherent portrayal in the eyes of those who see it as something other than what it actually is: a form of entertainment.
In this series, Sara is played by the stunning Spanish actress Maria de Nati, whom we find extremely erotic. Sara Bernat played a pivotal role in the personal and professional history of Nacho Vidal, who, as you well know, was destined to become a true icon; however, it would be unfair to her to remember her (as is often the case) solely as the first girlfriend of the famous Spanish actor and director, because Sara was a performer of immense talent.
I believe the TV drama’s account of her professional beginnings is actually true; she worked as a stripper and escort before making her debut on set. Her debut, alongside Nacho, was in the 1997 film directed by José M. Ponce, “La venganza de Johnny,” whose cast is a veritable who’s who of Spanish porn stars, including Maria de Sanchez, Toni Ribas, Sophie Evans, and Max Cortes. Sara stars in the film’s only anal sex scene. This performance, however, propelled her into the ranks of emerging European porn stars: she worked for various production companies in Spain, Italy, and France and was part of the cast of the famous “The Confessional,” a film that sparked a major scandal and even legal repercussions because it was shot in a real church in Italy, naturally without the knowledge of the parish priest or the congregation.
Around the turn of the millennium, she was a highly sought-after performer, especially for her anal and double penetration skills. Her career and Nacho Vidal’s took different paths, although they would later appear on the same set three more times.
