A porn star in the White House? Can you even imagine that? We’ve often dreamed about it, you know? Unfortunately, it’s absolutely impossible in a “crazy” world like ours, but we completely agree with comedian George Carlin when he said, “In America, anyone can become president, and that’s exactly the problem.” And what’s happening in America and around the world is proving that point all too well.
We don’t want to get into geopolitical topics; that’s not our area of expertise. Recently, during one of our forays through social media, we discovered a Facebook page with the curious title, ‘1984 is Now,’ a reference to George Orwell’s famous novel. Fortunately, it has few followers—just over a hundred—and it’s an Italian page (not to be confused with “1984 is Now!!!!!!,” which has six exclamation points to set it apart). We’re amazed by the utterly delusional fantasy that defines it; in reality, it’s the classic gang of conspiracy theorists with their brains parked in a landfill. But we still live in a democracy, and everyone is free to express their opinion, even when they’d be better off seeing a psychologist.
So, guys, sorry if we’ve gone on a bit, but do you really think that in a world like this, it’s crazy to see a porn star as president of the U.S.? Our ideal candidate remains, without a doubt, Cherie DeVille.

Not least because Cherie had this crazy idea back in 2017 when she ran as an independent for U.S. president under the slogan “Make America Fucking Awesome Again” and chose rapper Coolio as her running mate for vice president. Cherie has always been politically active; she describes herself as a “left-leaning libertarian” and, during her brief campaign, declared herself  “sex-positive, cannabis-friendly candidate who favored net neutrality protections”. Then the North Carolina-born performer (who also holds a degree in physical therapy and alternates her career in adult entertainment with work as a physical therapist) reportedly withdrew her candidacy to openly support Bernie Sanders.

But Cherie DeVille’s activism didn’t stop with her official bid for the White House; it continues to this day, as we are witnessing an unprecedented attempt by the conservative and bigoted American right to censor the adult industry. And while the media treats the issue superficially—given that we’re talking about “pornography,” something everyone watches but no one admits to watching—let’s just say it’s alarming, especially because it’s part of the most extreme and discriminatory political agenda the U.S. has seen since the postwar era, or perhaps since the Civil War. And Cherie is fighting, on behalf of her industry, against those who are trying to impose blind censorship on the web under the pretext of protecting minors, while in reality minors are not protected at all by these irrational measures and there is a risk of pushing them toward the dark side of the internet, which is truly dangerous.

From Dream to Reality

We know Cherie DeVille will never become president, but she still deserves support for the courage she has shown on numerous occasions. Cherie strikes fear into the hearts of certain people—like those who frequent delusional social media pages—because she is a free, determined, and educated woman. And that is a threat to the patriarchy of the hominids. So let’s enjoy our wonderful Cherie in her role as a performer or even a director, because she’s never boring but always electrifying and exciting.
