There are artists who, in their careers, have considered porn as a starting point. There are actually few adult industry actresses who have really been successful in mainstream cinema and, in most cases, it wasn't due to a lack of talent. When you come from porn it's hard to shake off this label, it's often like Hester Prynne's famous scarlet letter. Today, fortunately, there are many artists who choose to stay in porn and it is a fortune for those who, like me, actively follow it day after day, always looking for news but also for fixed points and certainties. Kayden Kross has always been a certainty to me: firstly because she is extraordinarily beautiful, secondly because she is extraordinarily talented and thirdly because she really has class and elegance. Kayden loves every facet of her profession and this is demonstrated by her parallel career as a director that began in 2013 and conducted hand in hand with that of an actress. Her latest work, simultaneously in front and behind the camera, was released last year by Deeper and is 'Mistress Maitland 2'. The main protagonist is a monumental Maitland Ward that returns in her larger than life persona as Mistress Maitland, a mysterious femme fatale with a penchant for games. Relieved now of her husband, Ward looks back at the moments that made her who she is as she leads an audience through her journey from a curious submissive to a queen of dommes with a string of delegates and sexual destruction in her rising. Starring in each of these four perfectly formed scenes, Maitland proves once again that she is a master at her craft.
