Blake Blossom Becomes a Comic Book: The First Two Issues of ‘Blake to the Future’ Are Out
Not
everyone can become the star of a comic book, especially if that star
is a famous performer in the adult entertainment industry. But Blake
Blossom’s fame is truly global and extends even into mainstream
entertainment. And fortunately, today is no longer like the “Golden
Age,” when, on the one hand, films were shown in mainstream
theaters, but on the other, performers were effectively confined to a
“niche” or “golden cage”—a world apart.
The adult
industry remains a world of its own, but its boundaries have expanded
and are wide open. And stars like Blake Blossom can move in and out
of these boundaries as they please.
Let’s also say that the comic’s theme strikes us as quite brilliant, starting with the title—“Blake to the Future”—which clearly pays homage to the famous 1980s film trilogy, a series of absolutely iconic movies that people never tire of watching over and over again. The comic, produced by Vanilla Gaming & Comic Company, was written by Blake herself and Neil Herrin, who is also the illustrator. The comic also features contributions from several well-known artists in the industry for the cover illustrations.
Two issues have already been published, in both print and digital formats. The digital versions are completely uncensored and allow us to admire Blake Blossom’s sexual escapades—which we’ve seen so many times on set but haven’t yet seen in the comic book version.
In Issue 0, titled “Origins,” Blake, returning from a party with friends, takes a shortcut through the woods to get home, but there she encounters a mysterious fortune-teller. The woman foretells her impending doom, but she also suggests a possible way out: Blake must travel back in time to change future events.
Among the tasks
assigned to her is the recovery of certain sacred relics that have
been lost in the folds of time, and here the comic takes on a
fantasy-horror plot in Issue 1, titled “The Bites,” which sends
Blake Blossom to Transylvania to face Count Dracula.
Note that
both the physical and uncensored digital versions are distributed via
Kickstarter.
And while we wait to see Blake Blossom’s comic book alter ego, we’re happy to see her in the flesh in this video released by Blacked last year, *BBC Goddess Blake Takes It All*, alongside Damion Dayski.
