’70s Groove: Elly Clutch and Addison Vodka Star in Digital Playground’s "In the Bag"
Get ready for muscle cars, loud fashion, and a gritty vintage aesthetic. Digital Playground has officially begun rolling out In the Bag, a retro-inspired four-part feature film directed by the acclaimed Ricky Greenwood. Part buddy-cop comedy, part murder mystery, and entirely fueled by nonstop sex, this project is designed to be an instant classic.
The Plot: Horny Detectives on the Case
The story follows detectives Davis and DeSoto (played by Elly Clutch and Addison Vodka), who are one screw-up away from being banished to desk duty. Instead, they get handed the biggest case of their careers: solving the murder of a glamorous Hollywood actress.
As they dive into the investigation, they encounter a wildly eccentric cast of suspects and distractions:
The Suspects: A suspiciously loyal houseboy named Mike Ox, and two outrageous adult stars, Leaky and Squeaky (played by Isiah Maxwell and Willow Ryder).
The Filmmaker: The legendary Scott Nails steps into the shoes of Lenny, an eccentric director who complicates the investigation.
The Conflict: Recklessly distracted by their own desires, the two detectives must keep themselves out of trouble long enough to crack the case.
Real-Life Best Friends Making Magic
Director Ricky Greenwood couldn't praise his lead duo enough, noting that while they’ve done smaller roles before, this is the first time they’ve carried a feature film as the primary leads.
The real magic, however, comes from their offscreen bond. Elly Clutch and Addison Vodka are best friends in real life, and In the Bag marks a historic milestone for both:
A Shared Debut: This is not only their first time acting together but also features their first-ever on-screen sex scene together.
In Their Own Words: "Addison and I are best friends... I can honestly say we made magic," Clutch remarked. Vodka echoed the sentiment, calling the experience surreal: "Not everyone can say they’ve made a feature film with their best friend."
