But the "pioneer" in this regard was, in the '70s, the great Linda Wong, the first artist of asian descent to break into the world of porn. Born in San Francisco, but clear of japanese descent, Linda Carol Seki (her real name) breaks into the adult film industry in the middle of the "Golden Age". Her first film is in fact the beautiful "Oriental Babysitter" of 1976, in which she starred alongside Georgina Spelvin and John Holmes. Her life was turbulent like many artists of her time. Linda turned almost 50 films between '76 and early '80s, before deciding to leave the set in 1981. She come back four years later, in 1985, and plays "The erotic world of Linda Wong." It is her last job. In this period begin her troubles with the law: Linda was arrested on charges stemming from an attempt to buy codeine with a forged prescription. For this she faced a prison sentence of more than a year. In 1987 Linda was out on bail and awaiting trial. But on December 17 of the same year she was found dead. The death was caused by an overdose resulting from Xanax, chloral hydrate and alcohol. Of her remain many films, some of which I keep them treasured in my personal video library as authentic memorabilia, evidence of her enormous talent.
