And given the string of absurdities that the global political scene has produced over the past few years, Nikki Benz is certainly a serious and professional person—far more so than many career politicians.

The Canadian star of Ukrainian origin—who has been a naturalized U.S. citizen for years now—has thrown her hat into the ring for the role of White House press secretary. Of course, this is a satirical stunt, and the AI-generated images depicting her in this official role have done the rest, making her posts on her official social media pages go viral.

It all began after U.S. President Donald Trump’s record-breaking firing of the new press secretary, Kate Zacharia, after just five days—and following the ironic suggestion by Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, who named the pop star and “Queen of Rap,” Nicki Minaj.

“Dear White House Hiring Team, I would like to formally express my interest in becoming the next White House Press Secretary. As Nikki Benz, I’ve spent over two decades building a successful career in one of the most scrutinized industries in the world.
