In these last days I saw some old movies, viewing artists of the past that maybe, guiltily on our part, we not had included in our historical section. This is the case of three divas who surely deserve the due space in our blog. We start our small roundup of today with Abigail Clayton, one of the few actresses who at the end of the 70s was able to carve out a small mainstream career in the midst of a great career in porn cinema. Born in New York, she started her career in 1976 during the Golden Age Era when hardcore movies were shown in mainstream cinema. Her name would often appear in ads in major newspapers of the time, alongside other stars such as Annette Haven and Leslie Bovee. One of her earliest movies was “Femmes de Sade”, by Alex de Renzy. Among her most successful films also included "Desires Within Young Girls", which had among its protagonists also the legendary Georgina Spelvin. She was also the protagonist in 1977 of “Seven into Snowy”, one of the first porn parodies of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Her latest porn movie was "October Silk" in 1980. Among the interpretations mainstrem of Abigail will mention "Bye Bye Monkey" in 1978, with Marcello Mastroianni and Gerard Depardieu, and the thriller "Maniac " in 1980 .
Let us now make a leap forward nine years. It was 1989 when the director John T. Bone went to Australia with the aim of make some hardcore films using famous american actors and emerging actresses from the land of kangaroos. Among these, some will have very successful in the United States. It was the case of Sunny McKay, Kelly Blue and Deidre Holland. Of this group was also part a sensual brunette, Alice Springs, starring in over 60 films between 1989 and 1991 . Alice is a classic meteor, one of many in the world of porn that despite a very short career has nevertheless stood for her great talent. Among her best performances "Lost in Paradise" and "Dick Tracer" , both from 1989, and "Caught from behind 14" of 1990 in which she is protagonist of an excellent anal performance.
We stay in the period between the 80s and 90s. In 1988 makes her debut on the hardcore scenes a uninhibited floridian girl, already known and appreciated as a stripper, and was immediately a huge success. Thanks to " Mad Love " by John Leslie in fact she wins the award for Best New Starlets to the AVN Awards of 1989. She is Barbara Holder in art "Aja", a stage name inspired by the song of a british band of the 70s, the "Steely Dan” . The world of american porn, therefore, seems to have found another great star but Aja is a true "bad girl", rebel and nonconformist. The subsequent problems with drugs and alcohol seem in fact to have compromised her career in the mid- 90s: she plays very few films between 1992 and 1996 but back in style in 1997 with "Scenes from the oral office" , a parody inspired by the well known scandal of the "Sexgate" that involved the U.S. President , Bill Clinton, and his secretary Monica Lewinsky. Among the most famous films of this second part of her career is "Viva Viagara ", one of the first works that speaks openly of Viagra. She will definitively leave the set in 2001. We have added two clips of Aja, the second is taken from "Scenes from the oral office" and reconstructs in the imagination of the director the famous story of the blowjob to the president, with the dress stained with sperm .
